GL-AlertsTM
Real-time alert notification for ATMS
The GL-AlertsTM
program is a powerful new
software component to the ATMS that provides real-time alert notification
for defined events within an Asset-Tracking-and-Management-System
(ATMS) configuration. The GL-AlertsTM program monitors real-time data as it
is received from the mobile assets (units) and evaluates their current
time, location and status against a database of defined system events. These system events include place
arrivals and departures, stops, excessive stops, excessive speeding or
other set thresholds and switch input/out put activation within the mobile
asset. As these events are detected
by the GL-AlertsTM program, the user may choose to
receive notification through a message window, sound file, pictures, or
even a remote notification through e-mail message or another system or
process. The GL-AlertsTM program maintains a database of all
reported events, as well as a statistic summary of unit activity and
received events. The GL-AlertsTM
program may be used in conjunction with GL-Pro and/or GL-Server software,
or may be configured to receive the data directly from the mobile assets or
another third party application through standard TCP/IP communications.
The GL-AlertsTM
program provides a totally automated process for detecting and responding
to specific defined events, allowing system operators, management,
customers, or operational support personnel to be notified in real-time in
the event of a system alert. GL-AlertsTM
component may be run continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week completely
unattended, yet ready to detect and respond to any ATMS defined events or
alerts. The GL-AlertsTM
program allows service providers, operators, and customers to define very specific
events for a specific mobile asset, a group of assets, or entire fleets and
to respond to the alert and send any required notifications on a real-time
basis to the appropriate person, contact or other system or process.
