GL-MAPTM
Real-time GIS mapping display for ATMS
 GL-MAPTM is a powerful new
state-of-the-art program designed for real-time navigation, data
collection, and remote tracking within a GIS software environment. Now, for
the first time, you can navigate directly within your GIS to monitor where
you and your data are in
real-time. A truly unique and powerful program, GL-MAPTM is designed to display positions in
real-time within the GIS as it is received from one or more local or remote
units equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers and the
appropriate data communications hardware. The GL-MAPTM program can be used for both mobile and
base real-time applications. Mobile applications include asset tracking and
management, vehicle /vessel navigation, real-time mapping, and field data
collection or verification. Base applications include remote vehicle/vessel
tracking. In fact, GL-MAPTM
can be configured to work in both a mobile and base mode configuration described as a Mobile Tracking Network
(MTN).
 GL-MAPTM allows users to
navigate directly within a GIS, using commercial raster or vector map data,
or using their own data as a map background. GL-MAPTM can also be used to create new GIS map data
by converting GPS measurements to points polylines, or region map objects
in real-time. Users can even log the GPS positions to log specific ‘events’
or places on the map with user-defined attributes. GL-MAPTM is designed to work with GL-ProŇ,
a GPS and data management program also developed by IGTI, Inc., or with
other commercial or end-user applications capable of providing GPS data via
a Microsoft Windows Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) or OLE link in real-time. GL-MAPTM also accepts
industry standard GPS message formats.
